Le Hohwald is a mountain resort, located between 600 and 1100 m above sea level, sheltered from the north wind and fog, in the heart of beautiful forests of firs and beeches bicentennial. Hohwald enjoys an exceptional climate all year round.

Le Hohwald is located in the heart of Alsace (midway between Strasbourg and Colmar), on the foothills of the Vosges, and close to Germany. It is the ideal starting point to visit our beautiful region.

Alsace is all "at your feet" from Strasbourg to Mulhouse through Colmar, Obernai, Mont Sainte-Odile, the Haut-Koenigsbourg, picturesque villages such as Kaysersberg (elected 2017 favorite french village) 

, Riquewihr, Eguisheim (elected 2013 favorite french village) , Mittelbergheim... just to name a few.

EUROPA PARK (the world's first leisure park, in Germany is just 45 km away.

Many activities are available on site and nearby. Guests can enjoy all year round hiking (more than 100 km of marked trails), and mountain biking.

The wine route is located next door and you can visit many wine cellars and taste the famous wines of Alsace. Many "harvest festivals" held there in the fall.

In winter, when snow is in the game, it is possible to practice downhill skiing, Nordic skiing, tobogganing and snowshoeing on site or near the field of Fields Of Fire.

At year end, you can visit the many Christmas markets in the region.
